Instructing learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can present numerous challenges to the classroom teacher. Often the behaviors exhibited are the result of the unique and underlying learning differences these students experience. Participants will leave with a general overview of ASD and factors that impact learning including attention differences, implicit and visual learning, and difficulties in sensory processing, executive functioning and perspective-taking.
