Supporting the ELA classroom with tech tools
Limited Capacity seats available

I will show teachers how to implement the free website Whooos reading into their classrooms. This site lets students log reading, answer questions, take quizzes, and complete book reviews. It is a place where students can share about what they are reading and build up the classroom reading community. Teachers can differentiate reading goals and levels of questioning for the many readers in their classrooms, as well as keep track of what students are reading. I will also introduce Epic books. This is a free website that gives students access to thousands of their favorite books in an online format.  There are options for students to listen to reading, watch videos, or simply read books online. Teachers can assign books that have short quizzes or students can simply go on and search topics/titles to find books of interest. I will specifically show teachers how to use Epic to make a text set that they can assign students to further engage them in a topic of study.
